Intimate Elopement at Montgomery Bell State Park
This was one of the sweetest days. Kevin & Elyse originally had different ideas for a bigger wedding and a longer weekend. They had to alter their plans because of covid, but still pulled off the most magical, restful, meaningful elopement by the lake.
The park was absolutely beautiful, with the sunlight shimmering through the trees, the lake rippling with the wind, the birds singing, it was the perfect place!
After some photos around the park we headed to their ceremony spot to meet their officiant. I was amazed by these two and their ability to go with the flow. The road to the ceremony spot they had picked out was closed- so we had to choose another last minute spot by the water. It did work out in the end, and we found an amazing place with the most beautiful dock!
The ceremony was so sweet and special as they exchanged vows, the officiant spoke some meaningful words, and then they exchanged rings and shared a kiss. We had the lake pretty much to ourselves, but there was one or two fishing boats out on the water and two people sitting by the shore. As Kevin and Elyse kissed and cried the people clapped and cheered from the shore and the boats. It was the sweetest moment!
They wrapped up their mini celebration with homemade kombucha in vintage glasses from Elyse’s grandmother and Elyse shared a poem she had wrote when they first started dating.
I am so lucky to have documented and shared this experience with these two. It’s one I won’t soon forget!!!
