Max Patch Wedding at Sunrise

This is my favorite max patch wedding/elopement I’ve shot to date.

The morning air, the golden mountains, the bursts of fall color, wildflowers at our feet, amazing conversation, I could go on and on!

When Casey (over at https://www.goldenfolkphoto.com/) reached out to me to start planning their elopement in the Smokey Mountains I knew Max Patch would be the perfect spot. Her and her (now husband!) JJ planned to elope with their little girl, River, and Max Patch (though crowded) has a very short hike! The 360 views at the top do not disappoint though. Everything was gorgeous- down to the hike up which was filled with red and yellow trees! 

Casey and JJ live in Pennsylvania so I was so honored when they said they wanted to hire me to shoot their special day! I am originally from New Jersey so we bonded over North Eastern things and compared our accents (which I’ve apparently caught a little southern twang since living in Nashville haha!). After Casey and JJ exchanged vows and rings, they set up the cutest little picnic I’ve ever seen- it was worth it to carry the heavy picnic baskets up to the top! To end the most dreamy morning they had a little first dance as a married couple- see photos at the end!
