Narrows of the Harpeth Engagement Session
This was one of the most beautiful days at Narrows of the Harpeth. Stephen & Liz had originally reached out to me to shoot their wedding, but I was sadly unavailable. They still booked me for their engagement photos though which I was sooo pumped about! As popular as Narrows of the Harpeth is, I had maybe done one shoot there in my whole photography career (and I think it was when I very first started).
We started out with a casual outfit, and made our way to the little waterfall down the path below the cliffs. It was so beautiful- the water was sparkling and the sun was shining through the trees. I can still hear the waterfall rushing as Stephen and Liz cuddled up by the water.
We explored some more by the rocks before we headed up to the top and I got a little creative. I could tell these two really trusted me which makes the photos turn out so much better every time!
We then hiked all the way to the top of the cliff only to realize we forgot to do our outfit change! Haha it ended up being okay though because we got a little extra workout in going back down and back up again ;). And by the time we hiked back up, we caught the last bits of golden sun peeking through the trees (see photos in the woods right before the overlook). And then when we we got up to the top we had the best colors- the blue and pink of the fading sunset.
Here is a review Liz left me, such a sweet couple! I had the best time!!!
“Abbey did our engagement pictures and they are literally so perfect and show us so well! We are extremely awkward and shy people and she made us feel so comfortable and was so personable! I can’t recommend her enough. Super fast timing too. The price was great and worth every penny since we will have these for a lifetime! They capture us so well. I am so happy with them!”
